What a week it has been.
Yesterday I wrapped up the final checks on Book #2 — yes, truly wrapped up! I still can’t believe how quickly that book came together. Maybe it’s because grief is something I’ve walked through, lived with, and learned from… or maybe it’s because when a story wants to be written, it just keeps flowing. Either way, it’s done, polished, and sitting proudly on my desk.
I sent a little message to my team at Tellwell to see if they’d like to take a look at it. Nothing official yet — I just want to know if this book has the same kind of “spark” they saw in Book #1. The person I work with is away until December 8th, so I won’t hear anything right away, but that’s perfectly fine. I’m not in a rush. It just feels good to have it finished and ready.
It’s snowy and cold here today (Saskatchewan winter showing off again!), but I’m feeling warm and grateful. Two books in one year… honestly, if someone had told me that a while ago, I would have laughed. But here we are. And I’m excited — not stressed, not overwhelmed — just quietly excited for what’s coming next.
Thank you for being here, checking in, cheering me on, and sharing these moments with me.
More updates soon… but for now, I’m going to enjoy this cozy morning.
