Why I’m Writing Life Beyond Loss ✨
Some books arrive quietly… and some rise from a place so deep in the heart that they refuse to wait their turn. Life Beyond Loss is one of those books.
After finishing Compassionate Connections, I thought my writing would take a little rest.
But grief has a way of calling us back — not to the pain, but to the love that still lives under it.
As I began listening to people’s stories, I realized how many of us carry a kind of “silent grief.” The kind the world doesn’t see. The kind that doesn’t follow a timeline.
And I felt a pull to write about what comes after the immediate shock…
after the funeral…
after the routines return…
after everyone assumes we’re okay.
This new book explores those quiet spaces — the moments when we learn to breathe again, love again, and honour the ones who shaped our lives.
One of the most meaningful parts of this project has been the chapter I’m creating together with my community.
So many of you have shared the beautiful ways you remember your loved ones:
lighting a candle, visiting a favourite place, speaking their name, cooking a recipe that brings them close again.
These rituals are tender, sacred, and deeply human — and I’m honoured to include them.
Life Beyond Loss is still unfolding one page at a time, but it’s becoming a powerful companion for anyone who has ever lost someone they love.
Thank you for being here.
Thank you for sharing your stories with me.
And thank you for walking this healing journey — gently, bravely, and with so much heart. 💛🌿
